Checking Your Medigap Rate Can Be Valuable

Reasons You Should Reasonably Do This
a. Carriers reset their “pricing grids” in order to attract new applicants. This means that if you are able to pass underwriting, savings can be yours, without changing the contract. If you are Mr or Miss Perfect, this is hundreds of dollars a year in savings.
b. You may want to switch between Medigap plans (for example, from G to N, or from G to F). Do not presume that all carriers’ premiums are switching at the same rate. This is never the case, and it is not even the case that the rate increases are the same in different locations, even if the carrier is the same.
